There are six different lines in the collection. Luzviminda presents pendants of women in colonial and tradiontal garb rendered in gold, sapphire, and diamonds. Mananayaw is a line of pins and pendants cut from 18k gold that capture the different traditional dances of the country. Kubo celebrates the pre-colonial housing also in gold and adorned in pearls. Sandata is about the weaponry of the Philippines created through tourmalines and set with diamonds, rubies, and spinels. Icono is about the distinct Filipino symbols we see everyday such as the flag, the Philippine eagle, and the vinta made into rings, pins, and cufflinks. Bandila is all about the nation flag made into six colors “stainless steel stretch bracelets, woven and anodized, with clips of a reinterpreted Philippine flag set with diamonds, blue sapphires, and rubies in gold or silver.” Last is Perdible, a line of extra large safety pins commemorating the flag and featuring white or yellow diamonds for the sun and the stars.

The line is all about continuing the tradition that Jul Dizon instilled in her children. “My mom was a patriot. She was very vocal about her love of country. She devoted much of her time as an active member of the People’s Patriotic Movement, a foundation focused on educating the people on how to make the country prosper,” says Candy Dizon.

The launch also introduces Lucy Gomez, Julianna Gomez, Nix Alañon, and Iza Calzado among other influencers as ambassadors for the new collections.

It may be a little too early to celebrate Independence Day but with pretty jewelry like this, it’s worth showing some Filipino pride every day.
