1. M3gan (Jan. 6)

M3gan is a horror and science fiction film produced by horror icons Jason Blum and James Wan. The movie follows an artificial Intelligence robot built by a robotics engineer named Gemma (played by Allison Williams) who pairs her niece with her M3gan prototype unaware of the consequences this will cause. 

2. Magic Mike’s Last Dance (Feb. 10)

“Magic Mike’s Last Dance” is the final installment of the acclaimed trilogy from Warner Bros. Steven Soderbergh. We’ll be seeing Mike Lane (played by Channing Tatum) once again, as he follows a business deal to London with a wealthy socialite (played by Selma Hayek) and finds himself while trying to whip a hot new roster of talented dancers into shape.

3. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (Feb. 17)

Marvel Studios’ “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” is the third entry in the bite-sized hero’s story and is the first chapter of Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In this installment, Scott Lang (played by Paul Rudd) and his Ant-Family explore the Quantum Realm where they interact with strange creatures and are forced to face Kang the Conqueror (played by Jonathan Majors). 

4. Creed III (Mar. 3)

“Creed III” marks the 9th installment in the “Rocky” franchise. This follows the life and career of  Adonis “Donnie” Creed (played by Michael B. Jordan) and what comes after when his childhood friend and former boxing prodigy Damian “Dame” Anderson (played by Jonathan Majors) jumps in the ring and becomes his opponent.

5. Scream 6 (Mar. 10)

Paramount Pictures’ slasher series is coming back for its 6th installment as Ghostface takes a stab at New York City. We’ll be seeing familiar faces as franchise veteran Courteney Cox and Hayden Panettiere return on screen. The movie follows the survivors of the Ghostface killings as they leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter in the new city.

6. John Wick: Chapter 4 (Mar. 24)

Our beloved gun-fu hero (played by Keanu Reaves) returns in this neo-noir action film, where he must face Bill Skarsgård’s the Marquis de Gramont in single combat in order to win his freedom. Stuntman-turned-director Chad Stahelski’s fourth installment in the “John Wick” universe features a new suit for Wick, nunchucks, axes, and lots of guns.

7. The Super Mario Bros. Movie (Apr. 7)

The Mushroom Kingdom comes to life as Mario (played by Chris Pratt) embarks on a quest to save Luigi (played by Charlie Day) together with Princess Peach (played by Anya Taylor-Joy) and Toad (played by Keegan-Michael Key) to save the world from a ruthless fire breathing Koopa named Bowser (played by Jack Black).

8. Renfield (Apr. 14)

The iconic Vampire (played by Nicolas Cage) returns to the screens as we follow Dracula’s henchman–Renfield (played by Nicholas Hoult) an inmate at the lunatic asylum who decides to abandon his post as Dracula’s aide. 

9. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (May 5)

“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” is the final chapter of the franchise and sends the beloved gang off with a third and final intergalactic mission that unveils Rocket Raccoon’s (played by Bradley Cooper) origin story and the return of Gamora (played by Zoe Saldaña). The original cast members– Peter Quill (played by Chris Pratt), Drax (played by Dave Bautista), and Groot (played by Vin Diesel) will also be returning. 

10. Fast X (May 19)

Dominic Toretto (played by Vin Diesel) returns in the 10th installment of the “Fast & Furious”  franchise. While not much has been said about the movie, we know that members of Toretto’s Crew (Michelle Rodriguez and Sung Kang) are returning as the family of criminals and professional street racers, embark on another high-octane adventure.  

11. The Little Mermaid (May 26)

The Little Mermaid is a live-action adaptation of the classical fairytale we all know and love. The Little Mermaid (played by Halle Bailey) is the first Black actor to play the character and the second Black actor to ever be dubbed a Disney princess.

12. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (June 2)

The sequel to Sony’s Oscar-winning Spider-Verse is another animated spectacle of web-slinging of epic proportions with Brooklyn’s friendly neighborhood Spider-Man starring an older Miles Morales (played by Shameik Moore). It follows Miles and Gwen Stacy (Played by Hailee Steinfeld) as they fight against other Spider-Men across the multiverse including Spider-Woman, Spider-Man 2099, and Spider-Punk.

13. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (June 9)

The latest installment of the critically acclaimed “Transformers” film franchise follows the prominent “Beast Wars” storyline and takes us back to the 90s when the three factions of Transformers– the Maximals, Predacons, and Terrorcons join the existing battle on Earth between Autobots and Decepticons.

14. The Flash (June 23)

“The Flash” (played by Ezra Miller) finally gets a standalone movie. We follow Barry Allen who, overcome with grief, uses his powers to travel back in time to save his mother (played by Maribel Verdú) from murder. In doing so, he unwittingly causes changes that result in the creation of a multiverse. The film also sees the return of Batman (played by Michael Keaton) and another version in the multiverse (played by Ben Affleck).

15. Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One (July 14)

IMF agent Ethan Hunt (played by Tom Cruise) returns in the action spy franchise for its seventh installment with multiple death-defying stunts and action sequences including driving a motorcycle off a cliff as seen in the movie’s trailer. While much is said about the plot, the movie mainly follows the events of “Fallout,” where Hunt and his IMF crew barely saved the world from a nuclear apocalypse.

16. Barbie (July 21)

The much-awaited film adaptation of the iconic fashion doll “Barbie” (played by Margot Robbie) follows her life after being expelled from Barbielan, and her journey to the human world to find true happiness together with her boyfriend Ken (Played by Ryan Gosling).

17. The Marvels (July 28)

A sequel to the 2019 origin story, Captain Marvel (played by Brie Larson) this time is joined by Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani) and Monica Rambeau (played by Teyonah Parris). This follows Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel in her next chapter as she faces an unexpected predicament, the burden of a destabilized universe, and the mess that ensues when these three superheroes swap places each time they use their powers.

18. The Exorcist (Oct. 13)

A sequel to the 1973 horror film, Chris MacNeil (played by Ellen Burstyn) reprises her role from the original and helps a new father with his possessed child. Not much has been said about the storyline but the latest iteration of The Exorcist is set to be delivered as a trilogy, with the first film releasing late this year.

19. Dune: Part Two (Nov. 3)

The epic science fiction film sequel continues the mythic journey of Paul Atreides (played by Timothée Chalamet) as he unites with Chani (played by Zendaya) and the Fremen and embarks on an adventure to seek revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family, while also preventing a terrible future.

20. The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes (Nov. 17)

Set decades before the events that occurred in the “Hunger Games” franchise, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is a spin-off and prequel to the series. It follows a young Coriolanus Snow (played by Tom Blyth) way before he would become the tyrannical President of Panem, who is chosen to mentor District 12 tribute Lucy Gray Baird (played by Rachel Zegler) during the 10th annual Hunger Games. He uses this opportunity as a chance for a change in his fortunes only to be humiliated by being assigned a female from impoverished District 12.

21. Wonka (Dec. 15)

“Wonka”, an eccentric chocolatier (played by Timothée Chalamet) is a musical fantasy and prequel to the classic film “ Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”. This story revolves around the adventures of a young Willy Wonka and will show how he met the Oompa-Loompas.
