City of Dreams Manila presents Dad’s Day Out, a thoughtfully curated lineup of Michelin-inspired festive specialties to fȇte the man of the hour not just on Father’s Day but in month-long celebratory menus at Crystal Dragon and Nobu Manila, retail therapy at The Shops at the Boulevard and luxury staycations at the Forbes Travel Guide-rated Nuwa Manila, Nobu Hotel Manila, and Hyatt Regency Manila.
Crystal Dragon
Crystal Dragon marks Father’s Day and coincidentally the Dragon Boat Festival, with a special à la carte menu available for lunch and dinner until June 30. The menu highlights Steamed Lobster on Egg White Custard with Aged Hua Diao, Chef de Cuisine Chan Choo Kean’s standout creation that was introduced recently at The Dragons’ Ascent, the landmark Michelin-starred six-hands dinner that also featured the creations of pre-eminent chefs from sister properties in Macau.
Other festive specials are Hot and Sour Soup with Fish Maw and Grouper, Crispy Suckling Pig with goose liver and glutinous rice, Glutinous Rice Dumpling with baby abalone and Chinese preserved sausage, and Eight Treasures Sweet Soup with rice wine, cashews, and glutinous rice cakes.
Crystal Dragon is open daily for lunch from 12 noon to 3 pm and dinner from 5 to 11 pm.
Nobu Sunday Brunch
Renowned for the globally celebrated New Style Japanese cuisine of culinary icon Chef Nobu Matsuhisa, Nobu Manila celebrates Father’s Day on June 21 with a lavish Sunday brunch buffet complemented by unlimited à la minute specialties, featuring Black Cod in Butter Lettuce, Shrimp and Shojin Tempura, and Grilled Beef Onion Ponzu.
Decadent carvings Slow-Cooked Beef Brisket, Baked Salmon, and Roasted Lamb Leg. Nobu Style Pork Sisig, Baked Seafood with Honey Anticucho, and freshly grilled skewers of meats, seafood, and vegetables from the Kushiyaki station add to the indulgence.
At the sushi bar, master chefs prepare sashimi from a whole salmon and Nobu classics Yellowtail Jalapeño, Tuna Tosazu, Hokki Tiradito, White Fish New Style, Sisig Crispy Rice, and Nambanzuke, along with premium sushi cups, nigiri, and maki rolls. A chilled seafood bar offers Gallagher oysters, blue crabs, shrimps, and mussels with Nobu’s signature sauces.
Salads, soups, noodles, and an extensive dessert selection of miniature cakes, pastries, whole cakes, truffle parfaits, desserts in jars, and freshly sliced seasonal fruits complete the buffet spread.
The Nobu Father’s Day Brunch is available from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is priced from P4,388 net per adult for the Regular package, inclusive of non-alcoholic beverages and mocktails. Other packages that include alcoholic and premium beverages are also available. Children aged 6 to 12 enjoy 50% savings, while children aged five and below dine complimentary when accompanied by a paying adult availing of the Nobu Brunch.
Nobu Manila Omakase – Tasting Menu
For a more intimate Father’s Day celebration, families can treat dads to the seven-course Manila Omakase crafted with the freshest seasonal ingredients, available until June 28 at P8,871.43 net per person.
Nobu’s tasting menu begins with a chef’s choice Zensai appetizer before unfolding into a multi-course experience consisting of Kunsei Hamachi (smoked Japanese yellowtail) with wasabi pineapple salsa; Ika (squid) dried kelp with yuzu katsuobushi sauce; assorted sushi served with clear udon soup, shiitake mushroom, shichimi, and pak choi; Garden Salad with smoked salmon and yuzu plum dressing; Baked Salmon with spicy garlic black pepper sauce; and Grilled Beef Tenderloin with Eringi mushroom and truffle tosazu sauce. Matcha Dome with mixed berries and sorbet provides a sweet finale to the meal.
Nobu Manila is open for dinner from 5 to 10 pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday and until 11 pm on Friday and Saturday.
