Mother’s Day is this Sunday, May 12, so you know the drill: It’s time to celebrate and honor your mother and all the things she’s done that you might’ve taken for granted. If you’re privileged and fortunate enough to have a mother who’s healthy and well and living near you, then you 100 percent have to take your mom out on a date. The P2,000 Me Time package comes with a Swedish massage and a facial, while the P4,300 Like Mother, Like Daughter comes with a Swedish massage, an Egyptian deep tissue massage, and two facials. As always, you have the choice of getting your massage in a private room or in their massage cinema, where you can watch a movie while being massaged.

Crimson Hotel’s Café Eight will be serving a brunch buffet with unlimited mom-osas and a free tote bag for all moms. Additionally, moms get to eat for free if they bring along four paying guests (the brunch is P1,857 per guest inclusive of drinks). When you’re done with the meal, head over to the private dining room, where executive pastry chef Ben Bourgeois will hold a free baking class for the first 20 mothers who dined at the Café Eight brunch. The session (a class on chocolate soufflé and homemade raspberry sorbet) will start at 2:30 p.m.
From May 11 to 12, the Crimson Hotel will also be serving unlimited pastries, donuts, savory treats, and tea. The unlimited treats starts at 3 p.m. and ends at 5 p.m., and it costs P850 for two people. If you want to check in at the hotel this weekend, you can avail of their P3,45 Deluxe Room package. You can also check out their one or two-bedroom suite packages (rates start at P8,500 net) which are inclusive of an overnight stay and access to the Crimson Club Lounge.

May 12, Grand Hyatt Manila will be holding a Sunday crossover brunch at The Grand Kitchen and The Cellar. The brunch meal will be serving lechon, paella valenciana, as well as the two restaurant’s specialties for P2,600. The hotel’s The Peak will also be serving complimentary cocktails to all the moms at the bar.

Power Plant Mall is holding a week-long Mother’s Day celebration called “Mom, you deserve a break!” from now until May 12. The event consists of a flower and gift fair at the mall’s north curt (near Mango), a pop-up workshops by Mommy Mundo at the south court (near Zara), and more pop-up workshops by Flow Retreats at the lifestyle hallway (near Signet).
New World Makati

In honor of Mother’s Day, New World Makati is offering a package for all weekends of May for P8,000. The package includes an overnight stay, a breakfast buffet for two at Café 1228, and complimentary products and services from Belo Medical Group. From May 10-12, Café 1228 will be serving a buffet with free-flowing cocktails, wines, sangrias, local beer, and tea mocktails. The buffet will be served on lunch and dinner on May 10 and 11, and Sunday brunch on May 12. The buffet costs P2,988 inclusive of a complimentary glass of champagne, nail polish treatment, and Belo Essentials gift bag.
You can also have lunch or dinner at New World Makati’s Chinese restaurant Jasmine, which will be serving a 10-course menu by chef Wong Kam On starting at P11,888 good for six or more. Jasmine also has an unlimited Yum Cha promo consisting of dumplings, buns, and noodle dishes, along your choice of one soup, one rice dish, and two main courses and desserts. All moms dining at the restaurant will receive a Belo Essentials gift bag, as well as another “surprise present” from Jasmine.
For a more intimate meal, you can head over to The Lounge and share a special afternoon tea set with sweet and savory treats, a cup of coffee or a pot of tea, and a glass of sparkling wine for P1,888.

On May 11 to 12, artelano 11 will be holding a pop-up café and workshops for Mother’s Day weekend. On both dates, pastry café Simply Bel’s will be serving their pastries and coffee at the Pasay studio. Meanwhile on May 11, local jewelry brand Alaia MNL will be leading two handcrafted workshop sessions for P3,500, and Jill Mendoza from Cocina Marikit will be leading two squash and cordial making workshop sessions for P4,500. Both classes will take place at 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
On May 12, furniture brand Lamana will be holding two workshop sessions teaching moms how to design their own Ishinomaki birds (a Japanese bird-shaped toy and decoration) from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. On the same day, event design company Eve & Co will hold a flower pressing and calligraphy workshop from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Both workshops cost P4,500 per person.

On May 10 to 12, Diamond Hotel’s Filipino restaurant Corniche will be holding a special lunch and dinner buffet for P2,880 nett per person. Meanwhile, Japanese restaurant Yurakuen will be serving set menus for lunch and dinner, starting at P9,600 nett for four people or P13,600 nett for six. You can also head out to the hotel’s lobby lounge on May 12 to have their Mother’s Day three course meal for P1,680 inclusive of a glass of white wine. For more drinks, moms in groups of four get a free cocktail at the Bar 27.

Meanwhile, from May 11 to 12, you can avail of a special “A Toast to Mom” wine glass for an accumulated purchase worth P5,000 from STP’s cinema, restaurants, and services.
