Going to the warehouse sale? | Lifestyle.INQ

OCTOBER 27, 2022

It’s every book lover’s dream come true. Shelves and shelves and piles and piles of books at unbelievably low prices. Most books were tagged P30, P50, P75 and P100. So, yes, we went completely crazy.

But books aren’t the only thing you can buy at National Book Store’s Warehouse Sale, which is still ongoing until Sunday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m., at the fourth floor of National Book Store’s Quezon Avenue branch. There are school supplies, some toys, Christmas décor and wrapper, merchandise from NBS Book Express and even clothes and accessories from The Ramp and Crossings.

If you’re planning to go to National Book Store’s biggest warehouse sale yet (and you should), arm yourself with these tips.

1. Go early—you’ll need a lot of time to navigate the whole place. We spent over two hours there and it still didn’t feel enough.

2. If you can’t go early, no sweat. The cutoff time for entering the Warehouse Sale is 7 p.m. but you can actually stay until 8 p.m.

3. Bring alcohol and tissue. Trust us, your hands will be dusty after digging for books.

4. Bring a shopping bag. You’ll need them for your haul. But if you fail to bring a bag, you can choose to buy shopping bags there or they can box your purchases for you.

5. Wear comfortable clothes.

6. If you find a book that’s part of a series you’ve been wanting to read but you don’t have the first book yet, hold on to it anyway. You might be able to find the rest of the books in the other shelves and piles. We were able to complete Sophie Kinsella’s Shopaholic series and Stieg Larsson’s Girl With the Dragon Tattoo trilogy by walking through the whole place.

7. You can find the same book at different prices, depending on their condition.

8. Treat the books with care. And keep your hands away from other people’s shopping carts.

9. Credit cards are accepted.

10. Bring other book-loving friends. Trust us, you’ll have so much fun. And you’ll have someone to wait in line with.
