Patrick de Veyra is a Manila-based visual artist, independent curator, art educator, and writer. He graduated magna cum laude with a studio arts degree at the University of the Philippines Diliman College of Fine Arts in 2005.  He is also an alumnus of the Philippine High School for the Arts (PHSA) and recipient of the Outstanding Artist Award for Visual Arts and the Makiling Academe and Research Institute for the Arts (MARIA) Scholarship Award, an honorific scholarship awarded by the Cultural Center of the Philippines to PHSA’s top five graduates.

In 2004, he won the grand prize for mixed media in the University of the Philippines Diliman College of Fine Arts’ 1st Studio Arts Annual Student Competition. In 2006, the Office of the President—National Youth Commission selected him as Philippine youth ambassador to the 33rd Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Program (SSEAYP) where he represented the Philippines in roundtable discussions with national and local government leaders, and cross-cultural programs in Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Brunei Darussalam.

He has mounted solo exhibitions at the Ayala Museum, West Gallery, the Philippine National Bank Financial Center, and Art Cube Gallery and has been included in several joint and group exhibitions at the Cultural Center of the Philippines, GSIS Museum, Art Fair Philippines, the University of the Philippines Diliman College of Fine Arts Gallery, Underground Gallery, White Walls Gallery, Magnet, and Faculty Projects among others.
