‘A Wrinkle in Time’ stars all our faves and it’s looking epic so far

So we’ve probably all had Madeleine L’Engle’s A Wrinkle in Time as a part of our required reading list back in either elementary or high school. We know all about Meg Murry and Charles and Calvin O’Keefe and how they were guided by three astral travelers as they travel to different worlds. Though it was already made into a movie last 2003, Disney is giving it a big budget reboot slated for release on 2018.

5 literary classics that are pretty much fanfiction

There’s actually no official definition of what fanfiction really is. But what is generally understood about it is that if you’re a fan of a particular body of work, be it a book, movie, show, or whatnot, and you wrote a work of fiction based on the characters and the world within that work, then it’s fanfiction. It’s not as socially accepted as fan art, with many fanfic writers mostly anonymous and readers reading them in secret, but many continue to make them regardless of public opinion.

John Green’s next book is inspired by his own experience with mental illness

Best-selling author John Green is known for writing some of the most famous books on young love and coming of age. Usually, after a John Green book launches, fans end up crying and posting about how sad they are, haters have a good time laughing at those fans, and other people on the fence wonder what the heck’s going on. Turtles All the Way Down, his upcoming novel, which will be out on October 10. And it looks like it’s going to be another resolute exploration of adolescent life.
