As 2017 ushers in coolly, fresh as hell, 2016 is dying a gruesome death. 2016’s time has passed, and we should all feel positive for the new year. Or should we? New Year’s resolutions seem kind of backwards when you think of it, and it’s not like everything that happened last year didn’t happen.

Dang, it’s Christmas in five days. The holiday season has this weird effect on people like us who have to click in our 9 to 5 when the festivities are already on going. Time flies when you’re having fun, but it goes past Mach 1 when you’re chasing the deadline.
There’s a girl I adore, and she once described life as “beautimous.” I never figured out what it meant, but I presume it’s two words put together. The first, I was sure, had to be “beautiful.” The second I guessed was “tremendous,” maybe, or “polyamorous,” or perhaps, the slightly less interesting “glamorous.” In any case, she wore this viewpoint on her sleeve, or, more accurately, her Twitter profile.
Somehow, someway, we never run out of favorites to talk about. But it’s geting hard for some of us. While our EIC Pepi is in South East Asia (in Bangkok, for pleasure. Take that statement any way you want), the rest of the team are also in South East Asia (in the part of Makati that’s not a leisurely stroll from Greenbelt) holed up in their cubicles. Gotta pay them bills, yo.
