Pierre Casiraghi, Beatrice Borromeo Royal Wedding Might Just Top All Other Weddings | Lifestyle.INQ

OCTOBER 27, 2022

Hear ye, hear ye. There’s a wedding happening this weekend. A royal wedding, even!

This Saturday, Pierre Casiraghi, the son of Princess Caroline of Monaco, is set to take Italian aristocrat Beatrice Borromeo as his ‘royally’ wedded wife. Pierre is the grandson of Prince Rainier III and Grace Kelly.

The civil wedding service will be at the Pink Palace’s Salon des Glaces, part of the estate of the royal family and under the care of the groom’s uncle, Prince Albert. The Prince said he was arranging a “mostly informal”  affair for the two where finger food will be served for lunch. Yeah, no biggie. But the event’s details prove otherwise.

The 20-minute service of the couple who have been together for six years will be followed by a Monégasque garden party right after. The 700 guests will be treated to a fairgrounds-style shooting gallery (with sharpshooter demonstrations, by the way), a Mât de Cocagne, a 500-year-old traditional pole-climbing contest, some local folklore dancers, and buffet tables and drinks, al fresco style.

On top of it all, guests are expect to come in their native regional costumes. We’ll be on the look out for kilt-wearers, and maybe some amusing fascinators here and there.

A week after the royal civil wedding of the year is a religious ceremony at the 29-year-old journalist and filmmaker Beatrice Borromeo’s family island in northern Italy.

No news yet on what the couple will be wearing on both occasions. Will it be native costumes, too? We’ll sure find out this weekend.
