I’m lucky I get to try new products every month. Although half of them are disappointing, there are those new discoveries I get excited to write about after having tried them.
Buying the right product has never been more important then now when there are more things our money should be spent on than things to beautify oneself. To lessen that guilt we are all feeling, I would like to share with you new products that are worth every centavo. Oh, and they make extremely good gifts too.
Bobbi Brown
Smoothing Cleansing Oil
It removes my makeup very well. I use it alone quite often and don’t follow it with another cleanser (I don’t know what the general consensus is on following cleansing oils with an alternate cleanser). I’ve talked to some folks that do and some that don’t, but about 99-percent of the time I don’t feel I need to do so.
According to its product description, this oil is for removing non-waterproof makeup but it seems to do a fine job removing my waterproof mascara as well. I love the smell and the blend of the product, and I don’t find it to be drying at all. I suffer from dehydrated skin, and this helps with the condition unlike some cleansing oils I’ve tried.
It’s also not very moisturizing either, so I’d label this one as basically neutral—not drying yet no added moisture either. After two weeks of use, my skin does feel softer however. I like the packaging, too. The pump locks into place and I’ve traveled with it twice so far with no leaks.
Sì by Giorgio Armani
According to Armani, Sì is his “tribute to modern femininity, an irresistible combination of grace, strength and independent spirit.” I personally love fragrances and I don’t know any girl who doesn’t.
This scent is a perfect gift for your loved one or for yourself! Chic, sultry, intense and soft at the same time, Sì is a more modern chypre scent that stays on the skin and brightens my day every time. Its olfactory signature is rhythmic, elegant and unique, and combines an inflection of three notes: cassis nectar, a more contemporary chypre and a light musky wood.
Cassis, a product of a special extraction. Like a forbidden fruit, it maintains all of the full-bodied aspect of a dark fruit.
As an intoxicating nectar, this creative mixture is a dark and passionate spectrum of feminine.
The innovative cassis is enriched with two types of vanilla, both very bewitching but not too sweet. Rose de Mai, enhanced by notes of freesia, blends with a subtle touch of patchouli. A note of blond amber wood finally reveals a sensual and warm scent and marks the fragrance with exceptional subtlety. This scent is perfect for those who want a feminine scent but prefer it subtly dark.
