It was a wedding straight out of a romantic movie, dahlings, when Seattle-based Bea Zozobrado exchanged I do’s with her longtime American boyfriend Garry Jordan at the Sunset da Mona Lisa in picturesque Cabo San Lucas in Mexico.
Bea is the only daughter of travel industry bigwig and my palangga, Bob Zozobrado. Jordan is an operations manager at the Microsoft headquarters in Seattle.
The Sunset da Mona Lisa is perched high on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean where the breeze blows from all directions. It is a site one sees only in Hollywood movies.
“It is indeed paradise,” said the radiant bride in her simple but chic wedding gown. The orange-and-violet floral décor highlighted the paradise setting, down to the attractive folding fans and giveaways for the guests.
The wedding ceremony was short but romantic, highlighted by the couple professing “undying love for each other,” after which confetti of orange and violet petals rained on the venue, signaling the start of the newlyweds’ vibrant life together. Après, dahlings, it was time to party, and party they did!
At the wedding reception, a gift of violet and orange sarong, flown in from Zamboanga by the bride’s mother, was handed to each guest, all certified beach denizens. Then the superb, sumptuous seven-course dinner, paired with overflowing wine and champagne, with the usual sentimental and funny toasts, transpired, followed by dancing which lasted till the sun started to peek through the horizon.
Cheers, dahlings!
