Puerta Real Gardens in Intramuros, Manila, all bathed in pink light, became the choice destination of Manila’s glamorous women last week as Cream Silk celebrated its 30th year.
The No. 1 hair-care brand in the country honored Manila’s fashionable women in a glamorous ball not only for their beauty but also for being able to up the ante for many Filipino women, with their contributions in fashion, business, and the arts and sciences.
Cream Silk partnered with six top glossies—Cosmopolitan, Look, Mega, Preview, Metro and Yes!—and recognized 150 Filipino women whose achievements have gone beyond beautiful.
“I think that Filipino women then and now are very compassionate, resilient and family-oriented. But the Filipino woman today has more resolute character and the go-getter attitude that motivates her to succeed and take on different roles,” said Carmencita Sioson, Look magazine editor in chief.
Designers, businesswomen, artists, beauty queens and multi-hyphenates graced the stage to represent, give tribute and inspire Filipino women all over. The brand’s message: One’s hair
can go beyond beautiful, and the individual’s potential can be limitless.
The event introduced the latest Cream Silk woman, Anne Curtis, who embodies the modern-day Filipino woman. Joining her were the brand’s current endorsers Sam Pinto, Heart Evangelista and Toni Gonzaga.
