Fellows to J. Elizalde Navarro criticism workshop bared | Lifestyle.INQ

University of Santo Tomas (UST) has announced the fellows to the 6th UST Varsitarian J. Elizalde Navarro National Workshop in Criticism on the Arts and Humanities:

 

Rogelio Braga (University of the Philippines-Diliman), Rina Garcia Chua (De La Salle University), Kristian Cordero (Ateneo de Naga), April Jasmin (UST), Ivan Emil Labayne (UP Baguio), J. Miguel Quizon (Ateneo de Manila University), Jix Regala (Ateneo), Paula Pamintuan Riva (UP Baguio), Juan Carlos Santos (UST),  Cheeno Marlo Sayuno (UP Los Baños), Paolo Tenchavez (UST) and Francis Luis Torres (UP Diliman).

 

Regular panelists are Priscelina Patajo-Legasto (UP Diliman), Oscar V. Campomanes (Ateneo), Rosario Cruz Lucero (UP Diliman), Delfin Tolentino (UP Baguio), Rebecca T. Añonuevo (Miriam College/ UST Graduate School), Delan Lopez Robillos (Artery Manila),  Ferdinand M. Lopez (UST), Ralph Semino Galán (UST) and Gary Devilles (Ateneo).

Nerissa Balce, from State University of New York at Stony Brook, and Fidelito Cortes, Stegner Fellow in Poetry at Standford University, join this year’s roster of panelists.

 

The criticism workshop, to be held  May 25-31 in Baguio City, is organized and funded by The Varsitarian, the 86-year-old official student organ of the Pontifical University.

It is held in honor of the late National Artist for the Visual Arts and art critic J. Elizalde Navarro, who was art editor and critic-poet of The Varsitarian during his student days.
