OCTOBER 27, 2022

The Philippine Center of International PEN (Poets, Playwrights, Essayists, Novelists) will launch and hold book-club discussion on award-winning poet Dinah Roma’s third book of poetry, “Naming the Ruins,” on Sept. 27, 5 p.m., at Solidaridad Bookstore, 531 Padre Faura St., Ermita, Manila.

“Naming the Ruins” is published by Vagabond Press, an independent literary publishing press based in Tokyo and Sydney. It is part of Vagabond’s new Asia Pacific Writing Series which already includes three-poet volumes on China, Vietnam and the Philippines. Roma’s third collection is Vagabond Press’s first single-author book from the country. It was first launched in Sydney at Gleebooks on May 17. Roma also participated in two events at the Sydney Writers’ Festival which ran on May 19-25.

Roma is also the author of “A Feast of Origins” (2004) and “Geographies of Light” (2011), both published by the University of Santo Tomas Publishing House. She is the chair of De La Salle University Department of Literature.
