About St. Rita Orphanage

St. Rita Orphanage, located in Parañaque City, is originally known as Home of Children, beginning when the late Mother Carmen Alba, A.R., superior general of the Congregation of the Augustinian Recollect sisters, conceived the idea of putting up a home for less fortunate children—the orphans, abandoned and neglected—so that they could be provided with their basic needs as well as proper guidance and sufficient preparation for a better life.

St. Rita Orphanage envisions the total development of the less fortunate/abandoned children so that they will become God-fearing and responsible members of the Church and the country.

As part of its apostolic work, the congregation takes care of the children in the orphanage. It houses 25 abandoned kids, 15 infants and 10 toddlers. There are also three children who need special care, two with cerebral palsy and one with hydrocephalus. These kids undergo therapy twice a week.

St. Rita Orphanage seeks help in getting funds to be able to provide better for the children under their care.
