Decorating with one color theme is all the rage these days. But rather than spending on an array of new pieces, why not give your once treasured pieces a new lease on life?

Jazz up your home with bold elements that speak volumes of your decorating style. This is a guaranteed stress-free and fun project!

What you’ll need

Decorative figurines or pieces

Spray paint (make sure it’s compatible to the material of the piece)

Sand paper (fine grade)

Old newspaper (for protecting the surface from paint)

Determine the material of the objects you will be painting.

If the object is wood, give it a once-over with fine sand paper to remove any sealant, to give the paint better adherence.

Wipe the object clean.

Spread old newspaper on the surface where you will be painting.

Place the object on top.

Shake the can well and practice on a small area, just to get used to the pressure of the paint.

Spray evenly until the entire object is covered evenly.

Leave to dry overnight.
