CONTROVERSIAL Grammy-winning R&B artist Chris Brown is coming to Manila to perform on July 21 at the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena, his Philippine representative Mike Roda confirmed to the Inquirer.
The 26-year-old Brown drew flak when he failed to show up as a headliner in a New Year’s Eve countdown concert on Dec. 31, 2014 at the then newly opened Philippine Arena in Bulacan.
Three days after the incident, Roda told the Inquirer that Brown—who reportedly lost his passport a day before the concert and subsequently failed to board a commercial flight to Manila—that “Chris’ intention is to reschedule, pending approval… However, if he cannot reach an agreement… he would aim to come (to Manila) on tour at some point…”
Apparently Brown’s coming gig on July 21 at MOA Arena will resolve the issue, although Roda did not discuss it.
