TWELVE fellows have been named to the 2015 University of Santo Tomas J. Elizalde Navarro (JEN) National Workshop on Critical and Cultural Heritage Studies.
The fellows and their educational affiliations are: Tilde Acuña (University of the Philippines); Vic Bautista (Ateneo de Manila University); Carla Gamalinda (UST); Amado Guinto Jr. (Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology); Jay Nathan Jore (University of San Carlos); Gregg S. Lloren (UP Cebu);
Jay Jomar F. Quintos (UP); Rona Repancol (UST); Ramon Felipe Sarmiento (Catanduanes State University); Edgar Allan M. Sembrano (UST); William Todcor (University of the Cordilleras); and Jeffrey Yap (UP).
The 2015 JEN Workshop will be held June 27-July 4 in Baguio City. It is organized by the UST Varsitarian with the Subcommission on Cultural Heritage of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, and the UST Office for Grants, Endowments and Partnerships in Higher Education.
The Varsitarian, the 87-year-old official student publication of UST, has been organizing this workshop for seven years now in honor of the late National Artist for the Visual Arts and art critic J. Elizalde Navarro, who was art editor and critic-poet of the student paper during his UST days.
