Experience the countryside of Europe in Tagaytay | Lifestyle.INQ

OCTOBER 27, 2022

Who doesn’t want to live in Tagaytay? Cooler weather because of the higher altitude, beautiful views and a laid-back vibe are the ingredients to making it the perfect setting for a home, be it a main or second residence or even a place where older people can retire after long and successful careers.

Twin Lakes, the newest masterplanned integrated tourism estate covering 1,200 hectares of rolling terrain of Tagaytay, will give prospective homeowners and guests world-class amenities, unparalleled so far in the Philippines. The development will showcase European-inspired residential enclaves, hotels and resorts, commercial and retail hubs, and sports and leisure facilities.

If you have been dreaming of a place that will take you away from the city’s congestion and pollution, Megaworld’s Global Estate Resorts, Inc. (GERI), the country’s leading developer of tourism estate, presents a world of firsts with Twin Lakes.

Twin Lakes has two lakes surrounding it. One is the world-famous Taal Lake while the other is a man-made lake that cuts across the nature reserve.

Once built, the estate will be a haven for those who want peace and quiet when they come home from the work place or school. It is designed for people who look for the sound of chirping birds and leaves ruffled by the wind outside their windows. It will be a privilege to live in Twin Lakes, where you will be close to nature but not necessarily away from modern conveniences.

It will be a place to start families and bring up kids; retire in dignity and style or even build a new life for yourself and your loved ones.

Twin Lakes is Tagaytay’s first master-planned integrated tourism estate featuring residential villas, condominiums, townhouses, hotel and resort, commercial and retail hubs  as well as sports and leisure facilities.

The development will be home to The Vineyard Residences, the country’s first vineyard resort community. The cluster of residential towers will be located in the 69-hectare mixed use The Vineyard.

The Vineyard

The area is not called The Vineyard simply because it follows a theme. Homeowners will get to experience of living within a 10-hectare working vineyard that will produce its own wine. There will also be a wine chateau.

Filipino farmer-scientist Avelino Lomboy will oversee the production of grapes to be used in wine-making while Spanish consultants will be on top of making brandies and wines.

The Vineyard Residences towers are named after famous grape varieties.  Every floor has an exclusive 11-15 units. Every unit has a balcony, while units at the second floor will have a pocket garden, and units at the third floor will have skylights. The eight-storey Merlot, seven-storey Chardonnay, and six-storey Shiraz all offer units with sizes 27 square meters to 102.2 square meters.

Twin Lakes will also showcase four residential villages namely, Domaine Le Jardin, Domaine Le Montagne, Domaine Le Soleil, and Domaine Du Lac.

Domaine Le Jardin occupies 33.79 hectares of the estate and is made up of 517 subdivision lots. The village is French-themed and will have a botanical garden and an exclusive amenity area.

Megaworld’s GERI will make sure to create a balance between man-made structures and natures with 33 percent (about 378.7 hectares) of Twin Lakes will be devoted to a forest reserve and nursery.
