After staying for a week in her home country, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach returned to the United States to continue performing her duties as Miss Universe.
Wurtzbach flew to the US onboard a Philippine Airlines flight to San Francisco, California late Sunday night.
In an Instagram post, the Filipina beauty queen said that she is sad to leave the country so soon.
“I’ll be back soon, mga kababayan. Naiiyak ako that I have to leave so soon. Sobrang saya ko dito sa Pilipinas. But like I said, this is a responsibility and I have duties now. I will continue making all of you proud!” the caption of the photo read.
The photo shows Wurtzbach during her grand homecoming parade where she donned an Albert Andrada emerald green terno.
The photo has since been liked by more than 84,000 people as of this writing.
Upon returning to the US, she will serve as a special correspondent for “Inside Edition” for the Super Bowl 50. AJH
