For the fourth year in a row, the world’s leading health supplement manufacturer Nutrilite has successfully staged the Manila leg of the Nutrilite Health Run. This year’s run, which garnered more than 6,000 participants, was open to both Amway Business Owners and the general public, covering 1K, 5K and 10 K categories.
The fourth staging of the Nutrilite Health Run reinforces Nutrilite’s commitment to promote a healthy, active lifestyle through healthy eating and regular exercise. This year’s run brought back the 1k category, which was where the Nutrilite Health Run started in 2012. Amway country manager Leni Olmedo said “We decided to bring the 1k category back because we wanted everyone who would like to kick off a healthy, active lifestyle to have an easy start, to be able to ease themselves into fitness and not get intimidated by longer categories. Consequently, 1k also represents the Amway business opportunity, because it only takes 1000 pesos to join Amway as an Amway Business Owner.”
This year’s run also offered the longest category at 10K. Olmedo added, “We wanted to challenge those who’ve been into fitness, especially our Amway Business Owners, that’s why this year, we added the 10k category, last year’s longest was at 8k, to cap Nutrilite’s 80th anniversary celebration. In the future, who knows, we might be adding some other categories like a 21k.” Prior the run, Nutrilite staged a series of running and fitness clinics with a renowned athlete and fitness guru from Australia, to better reach out to first time runners as well as to share tips with veteran health buffs. Finally, to promote the fun part of health, Sponge Cola was back again this year providing entertainment to the participants after the run.
The Nutrilite Health Run will also be staged in CDO, along the Apolinar Velez St., on February 14 and Davao on February 21. ADVT
