ACACIA Hotel Manila will once again hold classes for aspiring young chefs this month. The classes, which start May 10, are open to children 6-10 years old. Sessions will be held Tuesday and Thursday, 2-4 p.m.
The Junior Chefs 2016 program will tackle topics ranging from creating appetizers and easy-to-do snacks, to global cuisine and desserts that they can recreate at home.
Classes include Soup Making, May 10; Italian Pasta Dishes, May 12; Sandwich Crafting, May 17; Mexican Snacks, May 24; Sushi Making, May 26; Cake and Pastry Baking, May 31 and June 2.
Throughout the program, children will be taught how to make tasty dishes like Pumpkin and Triple Mushroom Soup, Lasagna, Monte Cristo Sandwich, Pizzas, Quesadillas, Nachos, Sushi, Bread Pudding, Brownies and Cheesecakes.
A maximum of 10 students shall be accommodated per class and enrollment shall be on a first-come, first serve basis.
The workshop fee of P7,000 nett per participant is inclusive of the eight hands-on sessions with Acacia’s chefs, all ingredients needed, apron, chef’s toque, recipe booklet and certificates.
