Six choreographers are set to push the boundaries of dance with the young dancers of Ballet Philippines II this September with the show “Bagong Sayaw.”

 

It will be staged Sept. 10 and 17, 6 p.m., and Sept. 11 and 18 at 3 p.m., at Tanghalang Huseng Batute at Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP).

Ballet Philippines II is BP’s junior performing company. It is composed of the most outstanding apprentices and scholars of the company and the Ballet Philippines Dance School.

 

 

“Bagong Sayaw,” which means “new dance,” features choreography by Al Bernard Garcia, Erl Sorilla, Gia Gequinto, Bonifacio Guerrero Jr., Danilo Dayo Jr. and John Ababon.

 

Tickets are priced at P600, with discounts for students, senior citizens and government employees.
