Popular Spanish brand Sfera channels the New Romantic look of the 1980s while imbuing it with the spirit of today’s athletic-leisure wear trend in its new collection characterized by a mix-and-match of prints and colors.
Exquisite tailoring, extravagant embroidery and leather straps with a boho edge distinguish the collection. There are tailored trousers and blazers, and floral shirts and blouses with bell sleeves and ruffle details for a retro feel with a touch of glamour and quality.
Spotlight is on everything floral, embroidered and embellished with pink, brown, beige and olive green. Upholstery fabrics, large tweeds, floral prints with dark backgrounds, geometric patterns, and tiny print patches are elements of the trend.
Casual meets sporty in the collection’s ski look—zipper details and a stripe on the side of a black pant leg. The look has a masculine feel with a feminine touch—tailored pants, long vests, and a classic black, grey, white and navy blue palette with a hint of cognac and burgundy.
The collection’s 1980s spirit means it mixes grunge, gothic and punk. Gothic elements include lace, see-through materials and sheer. Black and red, plaid and tweed dominate this collection. Sfera offers a range of grunge essentials such as skinny trousers, biker jackets, plaid shirts, ripped denim jeans, subtle lingerie and combat boots that can be customized with embellishments, patches, or pins.
Sfera is a Spanish fashion brand under Madrid’s El Corte Ingles Group of Companies and opened its first store in Asia in the Philippines in 2014, on the second floor of The SM Store Makati.
