SM Menswear makes a statement: More size, more man. With the launch of SM Menswear Plus, the focus turns to the man of brawn, of considerable weight and size, whose build serves his style for the better.
The time has come to celebrate men’s large body frames for their masculinity, and where plus-sized can also mean strong and self-assured.
The SM Menswear Plus line, soon available in all The SM Store branches nationwide, advances the mind-set that brawny can be fashionable, too. It marks the end of a dapper polo with a sleeve too tight, a button-down threatening to pop, pants that burst at the seams.
The SM Menswear Plus collection is a style revelation: shirts, polos and jackets tailored with plus-size proportions, and bottoms structured to flatter bigger sizes, with style that’s current, hip and age-appropriate.
The campaign introduces SM Menswear Plus’ first ambassador, Zach Miko. Standing at 6’6” with a 40-inch waistline, the GQ-profiled model pioneers international modeling agency IMG’s male plus-size division—the first agency to have one in the world.
Through Zach’s work, he has become the modern example of model diversity and positive body imaging, in an industry that has excluded plus-size figures from its orbit far longer than it should have.
Zach—who, aside from being a model, is also a singer and comedian—has rocked traditional thinking and proven that plus-size men are handsome, dapper and stylish, too.
All pieces from SM Menswear Plus run from sizes XXL to 5XL. The collection holds up to 200 different styles for the Filipino plus-size man, from tops, outerwear and bottoms to swimwear and denim. SM Menswear Plus is available at all The SM Store branches nationwide.
