You’re probably itching to watch “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.” You must absolutely watch the film on its first week of showing. Hold off your plans of heading to the theaters alone because we’re introducing geeks who love the franchise just as much as you do. Don’t miss this chance to meet your ultimate Star Wars match, ask them to watch the movie with you, or engage them in a mind-blowing Star Wars discussion. Remember: Do or do not, there is no try.
Daniel Lorenzo Zepeda Mariano, 19
Jedi alter ego: From the Jedi Council, Yoda. If I were to make a completely new character I would be Sith Lord Darth Ambitus (I kind of searched for the Latin translation of revolution, so yeah).
Occupation: Student
School: University of the Philippines Diliman
Hobbies: Crafting prop materials for my fandom
Most treasured Star Wars collectible:
My Darth Vader helmet. In third-year high school, we had a cosplay event and I made myself a Darth Vader suit made of cardboard—yes, even the helmet—and wore it proudly in the hallways. When I got into college I had enough money to buy my first legit Darth Vader helmet. At this age I wear it at night with my lightsaber when I need to go downstairs to drink some water and everyone’s asleep. Starting from cardboard now we’re here.
Intergalactical character I wanna meet: Obi-Wan Kenobi
Ideal Star Wars-themed date: A nice camping/picnic date at the lagoon of UP Diliman with lightsabers and costumes would make me feel like I’m having the most romantic date at Endor.
R2-D2, C-3PO or BB-8? R2-D2
Favorite Star Wars movie: “Empire Strikes Back”
Unpopular Star Wars opinion:
People fail to notice and appreciate the political aspect of Star Wars. Our society has atrocities and violence everywhere. Star Wars teaches us that in the tyranny of the Dark Side or the ruling class, one must not submit itself to the system, one must rebel from it.

Intergalactic character I wanna meet: Admiral Ackbar or an Ewok!
Ideal Star Wars-themed date: Anything that involves podracing and riding a Tauntaun for sure.
R2-D2, C-3PO or BB-8? If I really, really had to choose, BB-8.
Favorite Star Wars movies: “Empire Strikes Back” and “Attack of the Clones”
Unpopular Star Wars opinion: I enjoyed watching Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker.

Occupation: Digital content producer
School: University of the Philippines Diliman
Hobbies: Making music, reading a bunch of books at the same time and never finishing them, binge-watching TV shows, saying hello to strangers’ dogs
Most treasured Star Wars collectible:
I grew up in a house of Star Wars fans, so there we have a bunch of lightsabers, Stormtrooper helmets, LEGO models, etc. But my little brother made me a Darth Vader snow globe as a present. Nothing tops that.
Intergalactic character I wanna meet: Obi-Wan’s force ghost
Ideal Star Wars-themed date: A screening of “Rogue One,” with arguments about the movie settled via lightsaber duel afterward.
R2-D2, C3PO or BB-8? R2-D2! That droid knows how to throw shade.
Favorite Star Wars movie: “Return of the Jedi”
Unpopular Star Wars opinion: HAN SHOT FIRST!

Jedi alter ego: Obi-wan Kenobi or Kit Fisto
Occupation: Businessman-student
School: University of Asia & the Pacific
Hobbies: Reading books, watching movies/videos, wakeboarding, playing football and basketball
Most treasured Star Wars collectible: It would be my Stormtrooper shirt because it was a gift to me from a really good friend of mine.
Intergalactic character I wanna meet: Yoda! Definitely Yoda.
Ideal Star Wars-themed date: Cantina setting or a date inside the Death Star with a perfect view of the stars.
R2-D2, C-3PO or BB-8? Definitely R2-D2!
Favorite Star Wars movie: “Phantom Menace!”
Unpopular Star Wars opinion: I honestly think that the producers and/or screenwriters got a bit lazy when it came down to destroying the Death Star…

Ashley Cruz, 24
Jedi alter ego: Obi-wan Kenobi
Occupation: Social media specialist
School: University of Santo Tomas
Hobbies: Watching movies and TV series, boxing, traveling solo (whenever there’s time, though)
Most treasured Star Wars collectible: Darth Vader powerbank. It was given by my best friend knowing that I don’t really care if my phone dies whenever I’m out.
Intergalactic character I wanna meet: I want to joyride with Han Solo and Chewie in the Millennium Falcon and train with Yoda.
Ideal Star Wars-themed date: A date at the Jedi Academy or watch an orchestra play the Star Wars OST conducted by John Williams himself!
R2-D2, C-3PO or BB-8? R2-D2! (Actually my ringtone is R2-D2 beeping)
Favorite Star Wars movie: “The Empire Strikes Back”
Unpopular Star Wars opinion: “The Force Awakens” is a trip down memory lane and paid homage to “A New Hope.” Watching closely, some elements in the cinematography are similar to the first movie. And I really think the prequels could just be in one movie, not three.
