A “magical night” was how Filipino teenager Zhyra Cifra described her high school prom last Friday, after finally getting to wear the Sherri Hill gown that Miss Universe-Bulgaria 2016 Violina Ancheva gave her.

The 15-year-old Cifra took to Facebook to share her complete prom look, wearing the blue gown that Ancheva wore during the opening of the Miss Universe preliminary competition.

“I feel so blessed because of this lucky charm gown of Miss Bulgaria Violina Ancheva. I will always cherish the memorable experiences and I thank God for everything. Words can’t describe how grateful I am,” Cifra wrote.

“Thank you so much to everyone who made my prom a magical night. I love you all!” she added.

After the Miss Universe pageant in Manila last January, Ancheva said she wanted to give away her evening gown to a Filipino fan who could not afford a prom dress. Miss Bulgaria met with Cifra’s mother in a Pasay hotel hours before flying back to Bulgaria.

Ancheva also shared a photo of her wearing the gown alongside Cifra’s.

“Today is a big day for me! It’s Zhyra’s prom – the beautiful Filipina that was chosen to wear the dress I was wearing on Miss Universe pageant! I am so excited! Good luck, Zhyra! Bulgaria loves Philippines!” Miss Bulgaria wrote on Facebook. YG
