Now back in Manila, former Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Mar Roxas seems to have embarked on a fitness journey.

His wife, TV news broadcaster Korina Sanchez, on Saturday posted a photo of him on her Instagram, noting the dramatic change.

“Husband wanted to show me his “new look”. Lost weight, is fit, Uniqlo pants and untucked shirt with topsider loafers. Hmmm, at last! Mukha na syang uso! (he is now in style!) I approve!” she wrote.

The post has garnered over 2,500 likes since its posting.

This may be a fruit of his labor, because Roxas, even during a long vacation in New York, shared on his Facebook page that he braved the 7 degrees celsius weather to go for a jog.

“All bundled up for a jog. 7 degrees Celsius this am. 1st time na mild ang temp kaya hala, parang ibong nakawala sa hawla!” he wrote in his latest Facebook post, dated January 12.
