Say goodbye to weekday mall sales starting Oct. 15 | Lifestyle.INQ

OCTOBER 27, 2022

We’re getting closer and closer to Christmas. It’s the most beautiful time of the year, but it’s also the season of heavier traffic. Today, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) revealed their plans to regulate traffic in Metro Manila this season. According to MMDA, they wish to reduce the number of cars along Edsa by at least 3,200 cars.

One of the measures they’re implementing is the prohibition of weekday mall sales beginning Oct. 15, Inquirer reports. According to MMDA Assistant General Manager for Planning Jojo Garcia, malls have also agreed to open at 11 a.m. instead of the earlier hours observed during the Yuletide season. Deliveries for nonperishable goods must also be scheduled at night. These rules will be implemented until Jan. 15, 2018.
