A theme park is set to continue the Wonder Woman hype with a thrilling ride.
Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio is developing a roller coaster ride inspired by the superhero’s Lasso of Truth, which she uses to expertly disarm and capture enemies.
The Wonder Woman Golden Lasso roller coaster will be the first single-rail ride—amusement park rides commonly have two rails. Eight passenger trains will go up to 113 feet and will reach speeds of 52 miles per hour (approximately 83.7 kilometers per hour), reports Entertainment Weekly.
In a USA Today report, Six Flags vice president and chief corporate engineer Larry Chickola said this means the ride will be “crazy smooth… quicker and smoother than regular coasters.”
It will also be “crazy fun. There will be extremely quick twists and turns,” Chickola said.
If you want to know what it’s like to do Wonder Woman’s fast gravity-defying moves, the rollercoaster can give you an idea of it and more. Besides a visual storyline, which includes the princess in Themyscira and Steve Trevor’s crash landing, the ride has two airtime hills (that feeling when you rise out of your seat), a 180-degree stall, a 100-foot 90-degree drop, and a zero gravity roll (the part of the track that twists at 360 degrees).
