Jessie Sincioco, chef especially assigned by the Apostolic Nunciature to cook for Pope Francis during his Philippine visit in 2015, is making a special menu set in her restaurants for donors of Caritas Manila (CM).
Proceeds will go to CM’s Youth Servant Leadership Program (YSLEP), which helps in the college and technical-vocational education of about 5,000 poor youth, and feeding of malnourished kids.
The project is part of CM’s 75 Days of Charity, which is in connection with the World Day of the Poor in November, as declared by Pope Francis.
CM executive director Fr. Anton CT Pascual said he was inviting the public “to experience the gastronomic creativity of chef Jessie.”
Among the recipes in the special set menu are Chef Jessie’s Ciabatta Bread, Rolls, Butter & Special Dip, which was especially loved by Pope Francis, and Rev. Fr. Anton’s Super Healthy Salad.
Tickets for the special set menu will be given by CM to those who make a P5,000 plus 10 percent pledge and donation to its scholarship program.
Sincioco’s restaurants are Top of the Citi by Chef Jessie, Chef Jessie Rockwell Club and the Chef Jessie Grill at the Grove by Rockwell.
