“A Concert for Love,” a fund-raising concert for the renovation of the Holy Child Parish Church of Maayon, Capiz was recently held at the Roblee Hall, Filiamer Christian Institute in Roxas City. The concert featured the Bayanihan National Folk Dance Company of the Philippines and Pinoy Dream Academy grand champion Laarni Lozada
Added attractions to the event was the special participation of Ms Republic of the Philippines Cindy Marriah Dumol, Maayon Holy Child Church Choir, CAPA Dance Academy, Silak Dance Company, and Leo Contreras and Co.
Master of ceremonies was Annali Quetulio, chair of Nelson Orola Arts Foundation with Suzie Benitez, trustee and executive director of the Bayanihan Folk Arts Foundation, as annotator.
Visiting priest from New York and a native of Capiz, Fr. Erno Diaz, organized the well-applauded and successful concert. In his closing remarks, Fr. Diaz thanked the appreciative audience and the help of many people who gathered for a good cause.
“We will remember this day that once upon a time we helped build a church in Maayon,” Diaz said.
Supporting him were the various working committees composed, among others, by Fr.
