Okada Manila, the latest and the biggest to open among the cluster of hotel-casino establishments in the reclaimed Manila Bay area now known as Entertainment City, is opulent, over the top, but oozing with excitement.
It welcomed 2018 by flying in Paul Teutul Sr., founder of custom motorcycle manufacturer Orange County Choppers (OCC), who built with his team two specially designed bikes as raffle prizes to Okada Manila’s Reward Circle members.
Mr. Teutul Sr. personally drove the bike onstage, and the vehicle stood out for its sleek, badass design.
Since Jan. 13, there have been eight raffle draws that gave away to 80 winners more than P1 million worth of free play/lucky money vouchers, seven Harley Davidson motorcycles of various models, and one OCC.
The next draws are on May 12, 26, June 16 and 30; the second OCC will be given away on the last date to a lucky winner.
‘Manila X’ at Cove Manila
Cove Manila, a nightclub with a beach resort-like area in Okada’s sprawling property, has been hosting various events, including Retro Nights every Thursday, which features some of the metro’s prominent DJs spinning classic dance music.
A recent event, Manila X, presented 12 young personalities, led by Nadine Lustre, Kiana Valenciano, and Donny Pangilinan modeling clothes from Folded & Hung, Oxygen, and Zalora.
Now on its third year, Manila X has been combining fashion and music, showcasing young Filipino designers and artists in a fun, party setting.
Event co-presenters BYS, an Australian cosmetics brand, and San Miguel Beer gave guests a wonderful time.
Manila X proponent John Lozano said the annual event is meant to showcase “the talent of the next wave of Pinoy global superstars. We want to make our mark as a hotbed of talent in Asia.”
