A man in Maryland, USA, who forgot about his lottery ticket in his dashboard for two months, did not know it would lead him to luck—a jackpot of $50,000 (around P2.6 million).
The 28-year-old unidentified man told Maryland lottery officials his dad reminded him to check the forgotten ticket in the dashboard.
He added he got the ticket last Nov. 4 at a convenience store, so he would not have any change for an item he bought.
“I hate change so I said give me a lottery ticket,” he said. “I’ve probably purchased maybe four tickets. Total. Ever.”
The winner added that he was skeptical at first when his dad told him he might have won the prize. “I told him he was full of it,” he said.
He said he will use the money for “a good downpayment” for a house. He even wants to treat his dad out with “a nice steak dinner.” /ra
