A wedding isn’t complete without a cheesy keepsake you usually forget about the moment you get home, if not keep on specific shelf doomed with other equally-tacky souvenirs. Fashion designer Marc Jacobs and high-end candlemaker Char Defrancesco know this. For their star-studded nuptials, they gave away sweatshirts.
Complete with the wit found in today’s meme culture, the souvenir features a note that’s a play on the usual vacation shirts found in tourist-trap gift shops. The cheesiness was sealed with the embroidered hand-holding otters and the “Don’t Float Away” caption.

All these elements make it the perfect party-favor for a wedding attended by fashion’s royalty: Christy Turlington, Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, and Gigi Hadid. It’s an effective answer to the question “What do you give to people who have everything in a wedding that has everything?”
The intimate wedding ceremony was followed up with a reception at The Grill and The Pool in midtown Manhattan. The couple went about town in a 1962 Rolls Royce Phantom and wore suits by Huntsman, the same brand that creates custom ensembles for kings and queens. Jacobs wore custom Gucci boots while Defrancesco wore a pair of sneakers from Louboutin. Jacobs and Defrancesco exchanged Cartier wedding bands.
