Last February 2018, De Los Santos Medical Center (DLSMC) launched its state-of-the-art Catheterization Laboratory Unit (CathLab) to give more Filipinos access to cardiovascular diagnosis and treatments with experienced cardiologists and the latest technology at affordable rates.

Cardiovascular disease remains one of the leading causes of death in the Philippines and around the world.
“We launched our CathLab to give Filipino patients quality health care at affordable rates,” said Raul C. Pagdanganan, president and CEO of DLSMC. “We hoped to reduce the number of fatalities due to heart diseases.”

To mark the CathLab’s first anniversary, DLSMC celebrated by giving back to the community. On Feb. 14, seven pediatric patients underwent cardiovascular catheter procedures free of charge.
