When it comes to beauty, there is a need to be curious and open to anything. Beauty brings about so many trends and ingredients that may be deemed weird at first, but turn out to be great items. Think about snail essence, charcoal masks, and botox in places other than your face. I’ve tried all of these and more at least once. Some have worked for me, others have worked better than others.

This is why I don’t know why I just can’t get on board silk pillows, sheets, and even hair wraps. A lot of reviews on silk products express extreme opinions. On one side, there are those who say that’s it life-changing. Sleeping on silk pillow improves the skin and the hair.

Silk gives less friction. This is why for hair, it lessens frizz. It’s also said to be kind to curly hair. You also tend to find less loose strands on silk pillows are they are gentle.

Silk against skin prevents creases and wrinkles. Plus it makes you less puffy in the morning. There is also a claim that silk pillowcases are good for those with various skin conditions such as rosacea

On the other side of the spectrum, they say silk fittings are but a gimmick. They feel luxurious and that’s about it. Still, that’s not a not much of reason to knock it, is it? If silk pillowcases and sheets make for a relaxing and deep slumber, then aren’t you getting the beauty sleep you need?

So here I am, thinking if I should buy silk bed fittings available ready to use or should I buy a bolt of silk and have them made. What do you think?
