Veteran artist Edgar Doctor will be having a solo exhibit in Bacolod, “Edgar Doctor in Bacolod.”
A multiawarded artist who has held exhibitions across the globe, Doctor continues to display the same Piscean verve that makes his art reverberate beyond the canvas.
In 2000, Doctor was included in the list of Outstanding Artists and Designers of the 20th Century by the International Biographical Centre in Cambridge, England.
The exhibit, which features 28 of his most recent works, invites viewers to have a deeper awareness of the state the global environment is currently in.
“The planet is getting battered, drilled and rocked, it is crying out for help,” Doctor says. “And we as humans can still do something about it, if we only follow the law of nature… take only what you need and replenish the planet’s resources.” —CONTRIBUTED
“Edgar Doctor in Bacolod” will open Aug. 14, 5 p.m., at Italia Restaurant, Bacolod City.
It will run until Sept. 14.
