'Apocalypse': What went down at Tim Yap's Halloween bash | Lifestyle.INQ

Not entirely done with the spooky events, let’s do a little look back at ‘Apocalypse,’ a Halloween party hosted by Tim Yap. The man to look for when it comes to the hottest happenings brought out the geeks, ghouls, and ghosts among his guests last Oct. 31.

Held at the Swatch & Swatch building, the party was a space for those who didn’t fit in. The goal? To stir a want to do something before it’s too late. Guests, who were under a strict invite-only policy, were asked to donate to any of the chosen charities of the night: Smile Train, Reef Check Philippines, and CORA. Sponsors of the event were also asked to give their part to these advocacies.

Of course, art was involved to make the message clearer. Leeroy New sculptures and installations made from upcycled and recycled objects transformed the venue.

It was a place to get lost into, so you can find something in yourself, and in others, that’s truly important.

This isn’t to say the night was without fun. Big prizes were given away, good food and drinks fueled the dancing that lasted till the morning plus awards like Best in Costume were handed out. Not to mention lots and lots of Instagram-worthy photos and moments.
