Filipino travelers in South Korea always make a stop at Myeongdong for several reasons: street food, streetwear, unique pasalubong finds and most of all, beauty products.
Myeongdong is a haven for famed Korean beauty products that introduced the 10-step skin-care routine. But perhaps one of the biggest disappointments of traveling to Korea is discovering that facial masks that come as cheap as P25-35 can easily add kilos of weight to your luggage back home.
So while the weight restrictions can prevent you from hoarding of masks that you can use for the entire year, there is no need to do that anymore. The SM Store will roll out the K-beauty zone nationwide.
The biggest one can be found at SM Makati. It is between elevators and under a pink arch with the words “K-beauty” and Hangeul text that says “Annyeonghaseyo.” The shelves are in pink and white and decorated with Hangeul text that translates to “I love you.”
You can find celebrity-endorsed brands like BTS’ Mediheal, Seventeen’s The Saem and Lee Seung-gi’s Leaders. Anne Curtis’ BLK Korean makeup line and Vice Cosmetics’ BT21 line gets its own spotlight in the K-Beauty zone.
If you are looking for Snail creams for whitening and moisturizing there’s Deoproce’s Snail Recovery Cream. The quintessential cute packages of Korean brands are also a big come-on for consumers and there’s plenty of that in Bling Pop. The brand also carries masks for the feet, hands and even nails!
We also found CosRx, Dear Klairs, Neogen, Banila Co, AHC, Esfolio, Dewytree, Face Republic, iWhite, Seoul White, Luxe Organix, Fresh, Jayjun and SNP in the zone. The makeup line also includes products from Yadah, Club Clio and Peripera.
So no need to stress yourself if you feel that you did not buy everything you need in Myeongdong because there’s always the K-beauty Zone.
