The right shoe can do wonders. I feel like at the start of the new year, nothing gets you on the right path better than having several pairs of shoes for your different endeavors.
There’s the pair you wear for daily errands. There’s one for parties, while another is a reliable pair for the hours spent at the airport to jet off to your next destination.
There are shoes you wear to feel like you can do anything. These days, I’m looking at Giuseppe Zanotti from its new Spring-Summer campaign. It’s all about the spirit of feminism—confident, strong and sensual.
I like how the marketing photos reflect what you can aspire for: sparkling waters that signify pool parties and even beach outings. The shoes are meant to be paired with your midi skirts, and worn to cocktails—at least that’s what I imagine.
“For Spring 2020, I wanted to create a kind of stylistic clean slate,” founder and designer Giuseppe Zanotti tells Inquirer Lifestyle. “This campaign conveys my ethos of beauty and strength, style and craftsmanship.”
The campaign features four silhouettes.
First is Lilium. Featuring a gorgeous oversized leather-constructed lily, the sandal is inspired by couture craft and nature’s beauty. Captured in a sea of shadows, the standout stiletto is a study in ease, elegance and all things chic.
Catia is deceptively simple but utterly enticing. Crafted with a cutout heel, the sleek sandal exalts the foot with its flourish of straps and sensual minimalism.
Channeling the ’70s, the Bebe platform is a contemporary homage to a silhouette that is at once powerful and sassy.
It’s not all heels, of course. The Phoebe with its cheeky block heel, strong T-strap and dazzling crystal-encrusted floral brooch proves there is more than one way to turn heads.
“This campaign really represents the authentic energy of the brand—sensual and self-confident,” says Zanotti. “Set amid gleaming waters, the overall effect is compelling, contemporary and arresting.”
I don’t know about you, but I’m definitely clicking “add to cart” for my chosen Zanotti pairs—these sculptural, jeweled heels that are a favorite for red-carpet events of A-list celebrities.
