Less is more this Valentine’s as people try to be sensitive to the austere times. This means that celebrating at home can still be romantic. This table centerpiece should make Valentine’s extra memorable.

You will need:

A few stems of red roses, or any red flower

3 Mason jars with covers

2 small white candles

Glass full of water

Scissors

Take a Mason bottle without cover and fill about ¼ full with water.

Cut flowers to a height so that the bloom is right above the neck of the jar. Make sure you cut the stem at an angle to absorb water better.

For the remaining two bottles, keep their covers on, but pop out the center leaving a hole.

Fill each jar with just a few tablespoons of water then place the a candle at the bottom, careful not to get the wick wet. The water is to prevent the bottle from getting too hot .

Arrange this trio at the center of your table, placing the one with the red roses in the middle. You may spread them along a long table or closer together .

Tip: Create more interest by adding other elements such as a figurine or baubles strewn around. INQ
