Two days before Filipino model Hannah Locsin was to fly to Italy for Fashion Week, Lifestyle was lucky enough to do a fashion shoot with her, the only local publication to do so. This was the collection of Renz Reyes for TernoCon 2020.

During the shoot, Hannah said she missed Filipino food. “I love pizza and gelato, but it can get tiring so I really miss Filipino food,” she says goodnaturedly.

We wished her good luck so that she’d get more show bookings during Fashion Week Fall-Winter 2020 season. At the time she still wasn’t sure what designer brands she would walk for. “It’s really competitive,” she added, “especially in Paris. Asian models are sometimes not really the top priority.”

As of this writing, Locsin walked for Gucci Fall-Winter 2020  (her second time to walk for the brand) and another Italian brand, Anteprima.

Hannah was in Manila recently for some much-needed R&R. She shuttles between Europe and the Philippines if she has projects. Her most recent editorial work was with Harper’s Bazaar Kazakhstan. Hannah is now at Paris Fashion Week.—Luis Carlo San Juan
