MANILA, Philippines—The leading workshop in the country is setting up its tents once again at The Podium, Alabang Town Center, Shangri-La Plaza Mall and Global City, calling on everyone adventurous enough to express themselves.
Playshop started out in 1993 offering only a few acting classes for kids, teens and adults, with award-winning singers Bituin Escalante and Sweet Plantado-Tiongson of The CompanY as two of the first “Playshoppers”. Now on its 19th year, Trumpets Playshop continues the legacy of polishing God-given talents and producing world-class performers such as pop idol Christian Bautista, teenage sensation Sam Concepcion and Analin Bantug of West End’s Miss Saigon.
For 2012, Trumpets Playshop takes summer to a different league with “Playshop Camp:Express Yourself!” Inspired by the diversity and dynamics of recreational summer camps, this year’s theme aims to bring out every single Playshopper’s uniqueness and at the same time fostering a sense of community with their peers.
Whether it’s Musical Theater, Crumping StreetFunk, Poppin’ and Lockin’, Public Speaking, Hosting or Modeling that you’re interested in, Playshop has a class especially designed to make that star within you shine. We’re also excited about our new classes! The Playshop Dolls class is a course especially designed for girls who want to have advanced dance-brownie
points, and Breakdance class is for anyone who wants to learn this classic, but totally cool, form of dance.
MusicAdemy—Playshop’s Music and Language Center—is also open to those who want to bring their hidden minstrels and maestros out into the world.

Leading our roster of brilliant faculty members is theatre veteran Jun Ofrasio for Musical Theater, The Manoeuvers for Streetdance, renowned broadcaster Kata Inocencio for Public Speaking and Hosting, runway goddess Patty Betita for Modeling and the Philippines’ premier vocal group The CompanY for Starpower.
