Singer Agot Isidro seemingly took a swipe at Jinkee Pacquaio’s recent social media post showing off her Hermes and Louis Vuitton bikes, each costing a fortune.

On her Twitter account, Agot reposted the image of Jinkee’s luxurious bikes, while apparently giving Sen. Manny Pacquiao’s wife a message on sensitivity:

“HIS AND HERS”

“Jinkee Pacquaio posts on Instagram last Friday a photo of her luxury Hermés and Louis Vuitton bicycles. Alam namin na marami kayong pera. At kung ano ang gusto ninyong gawin sa pera na yun, wala kaming pakialam.

(We know you have so much money. And we don’t care where you spend your money.)

“Pero marami rin ang walang trabaho at nagkukumahog humanap ng pera para may pakain sa kanilang pamilya. Puede ba, konting sensitivity man lang? #nouveau.”

(But there are so many jobless people who scrounge for anything just so they can feed their families. Can you at least be sensitive?)

A lot of the actress’ followers appear to have echoed the same sentiment as Agot’s.

One @CharotismBabies said, “[Iba] kasi ang madaming pera sa may class (Being moneyed is different from having class). So totoo (it’s true), money can’t buy class.”

One @enconado_m went sarcastic and said, “(Baka) hindi maintindihan ang #nouveau… sabagay may google naman.” ([Jinkee] might not understand #nouveau… anyway, there’s google.)

Commenter @batangmelaban1 differentiated the old and the nouveau, saying, “Ganyan. Talaga basta mga biglang yaman. Ung mga old rich, they don’t brag.” (It’s really like that for the new rich. The old rich don’t brag.)

“Very insensitive at mayabang ang dating,” commented @rsrindo. (It’s very insensitive and it’s very boastful.)

Another, @TonAlba2, explained further, “Lahat tayo meron blindspot, guilty lahat tayo dyan, but I agree with Miss Agot, that’s why I left FB dahil sa food and brand bragging. I don’t think they’re showing off, minsan di lang natin nakikita mali na pala. Blindspot.”

(We all have blindspots, we’re all guilty of that. I left Facebook exactly because of food and brand bragging. Sometimes, we don’t see that it’s wrong.)

Meanwhile, @ladybeebomb0326 shared she even feels guilty doing food binge sometimes: “Ako nga nakukunsensya kumain 3x/day dahil andaming wala na makain eh tapos makikita natin may mga insensitive post pa. Sabi ko sa friend ko babawi ako sa kain pag tapos na pandemic. Hehehe.”

(I feel guilty eating three times a day because there are people who don’t have food on their table and yet you see some insensitive posts. I told a friend that I will just eat more after the pandemic. [Laughs])

Commenter @patrissshh believes that Jinkee’s post is simply “Insensitive to the highest level. They may be billionaires but are lacking in taste & class.”

Describing Jinkee’s post as a “very tone deaf post,” @abyssmaid surmised that “next [Jinkee] will say ‘but I give to charity without posting on social media,’ totally oblivious of what [Agot] really meant.” JB
