Bela Padilla debuts skincare line born out of love for K-Dramas | Lifestyle.INQ

OCTOBER 27, 2022

Bela Padilla enters the skincare business officially. She’s the co-owner and ambassador of Britory, a beauty company based in Seoul.

If the fashion world sings the praises of Parisian style, the beauty industry is crazy about Korean glass skin. This reverence comes with an obsession with Korean drama, the protagonists of which have that smooth and glowing skin.

Bela shares the fan feels. “All of my followers know this: I’ve been such a K-Drama, K-Beauty fan for years now. I really jumped on the K-Drama train. I’ve watched everything you can watch [that’s] Korean-related on Netflix.”

A project in Korea enforced her belief in Britory and Korean technology: “I actually shot a film in Korea in February, and I loved every second of it. More than all of that, what I really noticed while I was there, while I was working with the Korean team and Korean actors are how beautiful their skin was. My co-stars had perfect skin. They had no pores. They looked amazing with or without makeup.”

Britory is available in South Korea and The Philippines, carrying two debut products. These are the Like Snow Cream for Glass Skin and Like Snow Serum for Glass Skin. Both of these contain skin brightening and anti-wrinkle ingredients like niacinamide, arbutin, and glutathione.

Padilla says that she was very hands-on with the creation of the brand. “I wanted to make sure it suited Filipina skin and that it would gentle enough to use.”

Another note Bela highlighted about Britory is how it cuts down on skincare steps. “I keep on saying I am a fuss-free person. I keep my routines very simple.”

Britory is not just for women but also for men. Bela focused on inclusivity. “We do not need to whiten skin with our products. We aim to make skin glow. We like to embrace different skin colors and these two products are compatible with all skin types.”
