Relationships, oftentimes, are far from perfect. Same case with Actress and yoga instructor Maxene Magalona, who realized that her relationship with husband Rob Mananquil also has its own challenges.
Magalona opened up on how the initial phase of her marriage was troubled as she and her husband journeyed to Bali, Indonesia where they are currently based, as per her Instagram post, Oct. 29.
“Eternally grateful to my husband @robmananquil for being so patient with me and my healing,” she said. “At the beginning of our trip, especially when the pandemic started, we both got shook and distraught.”

“We were somewhat disconnected as we were going through a rough patch but instead of pointing fingers and placing blame, we decided to just let each other be,” she recalled.
To address their marital woes, the couple allowed themselves to feel and heal as individuals, especially during these times when they believe it is the perfect opportunity to do inner work.
Magalona also recognized prayer as a key for them as a couple in resolving conflicts.
“As we were going through those difficult times, we never stopped praying for each other and for our marriage,” she explained. “Thankfully, because we have been holding space for each other, we are now more connected than ever.”
“Staying here at @samadibali in Canggu for the past few months has also been so beneficial for our marriage as the energy here is just naturally healing and restorative,” she said. “This is truly the best place to be during this pandemic and we just can’t help but thank God for leading us here and for bringing us back into each other’s arms.” JB
