Actress Carla Abellana is asking for help for a cat and a dog, both having been ran over by a vehicle.

Abellana narrated how a cat named Whitey got into an accident which left it seriously injured as per her Instagram post yesterday, April 18.

“Whitey is an indoor domesticated cat from Iligan City. He is usually kept indoors, but one time he managed to exit the house and stay under a vehicle, which unfortunately was the same vehicle that ran him over by accident,” she said.

Abellana took it upon herself to “personally supervise” the case, saying she has a direct contact with the veterinarian who can amputate his broken leg and treat his ascites.

“PLEASE DM ME SCREENSHOTS of your GCash transactions to the owner, should you wish to help Whitey. This way I can keep track of all the help coming in for Whitey,” the actress appealed.

Abellana also relayed to her fans and followers the appeal of Whitey’s owner who said, “Hello po! please give my WHITEY a chance to live, he’s really a fighter and I want him to survive. But I don’t have enough money to provide his [needs]. We need your help.”

On the same day, Abellana also sought help for Bornok who suffers from “several fractures – [two] on the left side ribs, one on his right hip, and a crack on his mandible” after he was also ran over by a vehicle.

“Bornok is an indoor dog who happened to get out of the house one evening. His owners immediately [exerted] all efforts to find him and found out that the reason he was unable to return home is due to being trampled by a fast moving car,” Abellana narrated.

According to Abellana, Bornok’s owner got him to a vet right away where they performed a full body x-ray on the pet. The surgery/treatment is expected to reach approximately ₱100,000. The veterinarian also could not guarantee that they can perform the surgery in their facility. They are looking for veterinarian partners who can accommodate Bornok’s surgery for a much cheaper price.
