Newscaster Bernadette Sembrano believes that one has to be kind even in the face of unkindness.
Sembrano spoke about how being kind can change humanity in her Instagram post today, July 7, where she shared a message which said “Be kind to those who are unkind to you” as she reflected on her Bible readings.
“He FED his brothers that sold [him] to become a slave. Joseph even fed their families… but there was also JUSTICE and they were imprisoned,” Sembrano said, in reference to Joseph from the Bible. “Today, [we] reflect on people who betrayed us. ‘Who sold us out.'”

While it is painful to be done wrong upon, Sembrano urges everyone to “continue to be compassionate” and to “pray for true reconciliation through repentance and justice.”
But she also said that everyone must have the humility to know when one has done wrong, and that people must “not fall into the trap of justifying a wrongdoing.”
“May God also protect and grant us the wisdom to know who [our] true Brothers are,” she wished.
“Let us continue to pray for each other. We seek Justice, but It must begin in our own hearts. Be the change you want to see.”
Sembrano recently marked her 13th wedding anniversary with husband Emilio “Orange” Aguinaldo IV, sharing with fans a reflection on commitment. JB
