Actress and businesswoman Dimples Romana believes in the importance of napping for kids, but of course, her son Alonzo thinks otherwise.
“‘I dont like napping. Napping is for old people like you mom. I am not even sleepy,'” Romana quoted her son in her Instagram page last Wednesday, Aug. 11.
“Oo naman anak #AlonzoRomeoJose obvious na obvious naman na hindi ka inaantok (Of course, my child, it is very obvious that you don’t feel sleepy) and you hate napping,” she said while sharing a photo of herself lying next to her son, who appears comfortably asleep in the other photos.
Romana thinks that there will come a time for every kid to feel that napping can be an “actual luxury” and that these children “will feel sorry for the many times they had to be at war with moms and dads just because ayaw matulog sa hapon (they do not want to sleep in the afternoon).”

“Once this realization hits you when you’re older kahit gustuhin nyo pa (even if you already want it [by then]), you will never be able to find the time,” she warned them. She also revealed that while she was beside her fast asleep son, Romana was able to do online banking and answer e-mails.
This was when the actress revealed her little trick to get Alonzo to nap, which is apparently a common game used by adults: “I told him we’re playing a game, and if he wins he doesn’t have to nap — patagalan pumikit (keeping eyes closed the longest).”
Romana then vowed to her son, “And for your sake [I] am not deleting this message para paglaki mo makikita mo (so you can see it when you grow up).” JB
